Two American girls travel to Montenegro on vacation to visit an old friend. While they’re there they decide to venture to Mamula, an abandoned military fortress located on a remote island. During their exploration of the fortress they discover that they are not alone. Someone else is on the island with them and he will stop at nothing to protect it’s secrets. There is a darkness hidden beneath the island and the terror has just begun.This film is rated 4.3 stars out of 10 and because of the low rating I was not expecting anything more than a cheaply done soft core half ass attempt at a horror movie. Well folks I’ve seen far worse rated at 7 stars and at this point I am putting far less faith in the ratings here or anywhere else. This flick is no blockbuster but it is definitely worth watching, it doesn’t start out so hot but has a good horror story decent acting and it really picks up as it goes. This movie kinda reminds me of the old horror flicks with a heart touching ending we’d see at the drive in on weekends or midnight movie. As always I’m on the creature’s side so I was rooting for the mermaid. LOL
